AHDAF: Journal of Islamic Education (e-ISSN: 2987-2812) is a scholarly journal that publishes studies in the field of education and learning, both within the context of Islamic education and general education. The journal is published by the Department of Islamic Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia.

Ahdaf was first published in February 2023 and has been professionally managed using the Open Journal System (OJS) version 3. Since its inception, the journal has consistently published two issues per year, in February and August.

The term “Ahdaf” (أهداف) is the plural form of “Hadaf” (هدف) in Arabic, meaning goals, aims, or aspirations. The name was chosen to reflect the journal’s vision and commitment to academic, educational, and spiritual objectives, serving as a platform for the dissemination of knowledge that inspires the development of education and learning grounded in Islamic values.

AHDAF Journal publishes original scholarly works by lecturers, researchers, students, and education practitioners who are concerned with the development of educational theory and practice. The articles may include research findings, conceptual analyses, and applied studies that contribute to the improvement of educational quality in both Islamic and general educational institutions.

Before publication, each manuscript undergoes a peer-review process and plagiarism screening using Turnitin and Mendeley. Manuscripts found to contain a high level of plagiarism will be rejected for publication.

The scope of AHDAF Journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas of study:

  • Learning strategies and innovations

  • Curriculum development in education

  • Educational media and technology

  • Educational evaluation and assessment

  • Educational management and leadership

  • Character education and Islamic values

  • Inclusive and multicultural education

  • Classroom action research (CAR)
    as well as other studies relevant to the development of educational theory and practice across various levels and contexts.

The journal aims to strengthen academic discourse that integrates Islamic principles with the dynamics of modern education, producing scholarly contributions that are relevant, solution-oriented, and impactful for the advancement of education in diverse contexts.
