About the Journal
AHDAF: Journal of Islamic Education is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Department of Islamic Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, IAIN Lhokseumawe. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for disseminating research findings, theoretical studies, and critical reflections in the field of education and learning, both within Islamic and general educational contexts.
AHDAF seeks to promote integrative and transformative perspectives in education—bridging Islamic values, educational innovation, and global academic discourse. Its publications aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue that enriches educational theory and practice, with particular attention to contemporary challenges such as curriculum development, digital transformation, character education, and pedagogical renewal.
The journal is published twice a year (February and August) and accepts manuscripts in Indonesian and English. All submitted articles are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process to ensure quality, originality, and relevance.
Through its mission, Ahdaf aspires to advance scientific thought and contribute to the development of education rooted in Islamic ethics yet responsive to modern academic demands, embodying its name “Ahdaf” — meaning goals, aspirations, and higher purposes in education.
