Publication Ethics

Al-Hiwalah: Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah strictly requires all authors to comply with ethical standards as set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which takes confidentiality seriously and is committed to protecting individual information. Al-Hiwalah Journal is available in print and online and highly respects publication ethics and avoids any form of plagiarism based on Turnitin reports. This statement has explained the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including authors, editors-in-chief, editorial boards, peer-reviewers, and publishers of the Lhokseumawe State Islamic Institute. Al-Hiwalah: Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah has editors and editorial boards who have expertise in their fields and can be contacted via email and the Scopus ID available in the journal.

Author Responsibilities

Fees

Al-Hiwalah Journal is an open access journal that does not charge subscription fees, pay-per-view, article processing fees (APC), submission fees, or other fees. All article publication processes are free of charge.

Author Guidelines

All authors who submit articles to the Al-Hiwalah Journal must consciously contribute to the research articles that will be published in the Al-Hiwalah Journal. Thus, all authors are obliged to provide withdrawals or corrections of errors, if found. If there is financial support, it must also be mentioned by the author in his article. Authors are strictly prohibited from publishing the same article in more than one journal or submitting it elsewhere while the review process is ongoing. Furthermore, all articles must have a list of references based on the Author Guidelines.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Al-Hiwalah Journal must comply with the objectives and scope, as well as the journal's author guidelines. The submitted manuscript must discuss scientific excellence or novelty in accordance with the objectives and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism content. All authors are required to use plagiarism detection software to check for similarities, it is recommended to use Turnitin software. In the Al-Hiwalah Journal, the editor has checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software. Research articles submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers, who have an excellent reputation in their fields. Al-Hiwalah Journal has ensured that all reviewers have no conflict of interest. The reviewers have provided sufficient scientific statements to improve the quality of the manuscript, and also stated whether the manuscript can be published with major/minor revisions or rejected objectively. The type of review is an international peer-reviewed journal and double-blind. The final decision on article acceptance will be made by the Editor based on reviewer comments. The publication of accepted articles and the order of articles published will be made by the Editor-in-Chief. The order of consideration of the date of receipt, the geographical circulation of the author, and thematic issues is one of the main reasons for publication. Reviewed articles will be treated confidentially and fairly before being published.

Publication Ethics Aspects

Al-Hiwalah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law has strictly required publishers, editors, and authors to comply with ethical standards as set out by the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE). Thus, there are several ethical aspects that will be a serious concern of Al-Hiwalah Journal, namely;

- Al-Hiwalah Journal and editors will take reasonable steps to detect and prevent the publication of papers in which research misconduct has occurred;

- Al-Hiwalah Journal or editors will not in any case encourage such misconduct, or knowingly allow such misconduct to occur;

- If Al-Hiwalah Journal or editors become aware of any claims of research misconduct, Al-Hiwalah Journal or editors will handle such allegations appropriately;

- Al-Hiwalah Journal will provide guidance for retracting or correcting articles if necessary;

- Al-Hiwalah Journal or editors will always be ready to issue corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies if necessary.

Copyright and License

Authors who wish to publish a manuscript in Jurnal Al-Hiwalah have agreed to the following terms and conditions;

- The author retains copyright and grants the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal;

- The author may make separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal;

- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in an institutional repository or on their website) before and during the submission process, as doing so may lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and more citations of the published work.

Journal Al-Hiwalah is an open access journal that does not charge subscription fees, pay-per-view fees, article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or other fees. All article publishing processes are free of charge.

Electronic Backup and Storage

All articles published in the Al-Hiwalah Journal have been backed up and stored securely in the library of the State Islamic Institute of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia. Authors or readers can request an electronic or printed version of the published article at any time via email: alhiwalah@gmail.com

Journal Ownership and Management

Al-Hiwalah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law is owned and managed by the Department of Islamic Economic Law, Faculty of Sharia, State Islamic Institute of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia.

Publication Frequency: Al-Hiwalah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law is published twice a year (June and December). Each issue consists of a minimum of eight (6) titles.
